Self-help guides to tolerances, materials and chemical compatibilities.

Rubber Tolerances

During the design process, it is important to consider the limits regarding dimensions and geometry for your elastomeric component.

Whilst there is a guide to standard tolerances, it is key to define critical dimensions and tolerances to ensure product performance, fit and functionality. This helps in reducing ambiguity and complexity within the tool design and manufacturing process.

Material Properties

It is crucial within the design process, that the correct material is selected and operates against the required characteristics and environment for the end application.

To aid this process, we have an extensive material property chart covering the performance in basic rubber properties.

Chemical Compatibility

When considering which material to choose for your elastomeric component, it is critically important the material selected is resistance to those chemicals within the applications environment.

Selecting the incorrect material can lead to degradation and severely impact performance of your application. Because of this, we have developed a chemical compatibility chart to aid the selection process and ensure that the most appropriate elastomer is selected for your application.
